Getting to Steyning

By Car

From A24 Southbound or Northbound, at Washington Roundabout take 1st exit, The Pike, signposted A283 Brighton. After approximately 5 miles there is a right turn signposted Steyning or continue on the A283 to the next Roundabout and take the 2nd exit for Bramber and the 3rd exit for Upper Beeding.

From A23 follow A23 towards Brighton until the Mill Road roundabout where you take the 1st exit signposted A27 Worthing. Follow A27 until you reach the River Adur Flyover junction signposted Shoreham-by Sea . Exit at this junction down to a roundabout and then take the 2nd exit signposted A283 Horsham and Steyning.

At the next roundabout take the 1st exit signposted A283 Horsham and Steyning or 2nd exit for Upper Beeding.

At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit into Steyning or 5th exit for Bramber.

From A27 eastbound from Portsmouth follow A27 until junction sigposted Shoreham-by-Sea. Exit at this junction down to a roundabout where you take the 3rd exit signposted A283 Horsham.

At the next roundabout take the 1st exit signposted A283 Horsham and Steyning.

At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit into Steyning or 5th exit for Bramber.

By Bus

Buses Numbers 20 and 20A run from Brighton via Shoreham-by-Sea and via Upper Beeding and Bramber to Steyning.

By Rail

The nearest mainline station is is approximately 5 miles from Steyning at Shoreham-by-Sea which is on the main South Coast line between Brighton and Portsmouth and London and the central South Coast.

On Foot, Cycle or Horseback

Use the Coastal Link multi-use pathway that runs from the River Adur footbridge at Shoreham-by-Sea to Bramber where it links to the South Downs Way and the Downslink to Guildford.
